Everything has edges and they come in different shapes and sizes.
These are my ideas on Edges
I took 24 pictures of edges outside and inside the school. Set 1 (ipod)

This was one of my favourite because I like the sense of depth and how it looks almost endless. There are a lot of edges in this picture, there is the wall, the pavement and the grass, the windows of the building on the right and the trees against the sky in the background.

These are some edges in my house

I really like this image because the way it was changed really makes this different. The nature and the sunset work well together and the pattern of the the shape also looks really good. This is on my Edges page because this picture has been modified and now has more edges.

My assessment
For my controlled assessment I am photoshoping American presidents
How I create these images
1st - I choose an image and save it.
2nd - I put it on photoshop.
3rd - I choose the layer tool (the layer tool puts one picture on top of another picture and you can access both whenever you want).
4th - I choose an area that I want to use and layer it how I want.
5th - I adjust the layers to make it look more interesting.
6th - I save it then make sure it is not too big other wise it uses up too much memory.
7th - I put it on my weebly.

Overall Evaluation
During this project I have researched Randy Grskovic. My teacher introduced me to Randy in a lesson and I have learnt that photography is more than just the picture and that it can changed to become more interesting. I have also learnt that edges are in everything and things that are more abstract have more edges. The theme that we explored were edges. The first thing that came in to my head when I found out that we were learning about edges were geometric shapes because they have a lot of edges. I also thought that edges were only in shapes but then I realised that edges are more than shapes, there in every day life and we all see it every minute of every day, whether its in buildings or on the pavement or in your house, there are edges everywhere. As I developed my work I began to experiment with edges like were to place them and how to place them.
The different experiments that I have carried out were photoshop, cutting placing and gluing and finally just taking ordinary pictures. My favourite technique to use was photoshop because it is fun and its easy once you get the grip of it and the final piece can end up looking really good. When I was creating my final piece I had a lot of issues with saving and internet. While creating my pieces I changed a lot of things like were to place body parts, how to rotate them, how am I going to resize and what shapes would I use. I think that the placement of the features worked well because it shows more edges and makes it more abstract. I found that at first learning to use photoshop was very difficult but when I got used to it, it was easy. I developed my investigation by tilting the specific body parts and enlarging them. Things that changed along the way were creating more areas that had edges.
My final outcome could have been better if I had a wider range of projects. However I really like how abstract my pieces are and I did this on purpose to show a variety of edges. I believe that I have successfully explored the world of edges and that I have a good understanding of edges because through this project I have developed my knowledge of edges by experimenting, refining and being persistent in my work. If I had more time I would have created another final piece where I would cut pictures and rearrange them.
